Anniversary Dinner- Rockport

We were lucky enough to be in Maine on Grandma and Grandpa's 45th wedding anniversary. We all headed to Rockport to eat at a restaurant recommended to Roger by a friend- The Sheperd's Pie. It was delicious! When we arrived, we were told it would be a two hour wait. We're always up for something new, so we decided to make it work. The girls had a drink at the bar while the boys walked down to the harbor. We also killed some time visiting with each other in a little hallway and talking to people as they were on their way to the restrooms. It was such a fun night- definitely a highlight of our trip!

Camden

On Monday, Grandpa Roger had to go back to school, so the rest of us decided to go spend the day in Camden. It was a fun little town to spend a few hours in.

Our first stop was lunch.  Jack loved his dolphin straw!

After lunch we found this little ice cream shack.

Jack was so excited to order his own snow cone.

The ice cream place also sold duck food for the ducks swimming in the river.

Camden Harbor...

Every night after dinner, Jack helped Grandpa serve ice cream to all of us.  It was one of the highlights of his trip!

Boothbay Harbor

I'm finally back with more blog posts from our trip! Our second full day in Maine took us to Boothbay Harbor. We had planned to go to a botanical garden but it started to rain as soon as we got in the car, so we had to change our plans. The day turned out great!

Jack fell asleep in the car, so he was still waking up when we sat down for lunch.  A little love from Grandpa Roger was all he needed!

This was our restaurant for lunch- it was even called The Tugboat.

After lunch we walked down the street to explore for a bit.

We decided to book a trip on this boat to take us out to see some lighthouses and seals.

The trip was fun, but it was cold and rainy!

After our boat returned, we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's to grill burgers, play and visit!
