Christmas Eve Fun

We had a nice Christmas Eve at home this year. The three of us played all day, ate a nice dinner, and then it was time to put on Christmas PJs and get ready to sleep so Santa could come visit! We opened just a couple of gifts on Christmas Eve, and it took a few minutes to get Jack to sit still long enough to open...

First he wanted to check out all the ornaments on the tree...

Then he pulled the TV remote out and tried to convince me we should watch some Elmo...

And then he took a few minutes to shoot some baskets!

We got settled by the tree, and Jack opened his gift from Papaw and Marcie. He got two new Thomas books, or as he calls them, his choo-choo books. He loves them!

Skimming through...

He found their picture on the back of the book and was pretty surprised!

Time for a little one-on-one with Daddy!

Last thing before bed was to set out milk and cookies for Santa. I just wanted a picture of Jack by the plate, but he had a different idea...

Yum! Hope Santa enjoyed his eaten on cookies and gnawed on carrots for the reindeer!

Christmas #1

We had our first Christmas on December 17 at Mamaw and Page's, and we all had such a great time visiting with family, especially Meme, Pop, and Uncle Ian!

Jack was very interested in Ian's gift...

"Oh wow! That gift is for me!"

Uncle Ian returned the favor and helped Jack rip into his present.

"Hmmmm, what is it?"

"Look what it does!"

Jack was SO excited about his new basketball goal!!! He squealed when he saw what it was and he gave the box a big hug and kiss- precious!

And then he climbed all over the box- ha!

Jack and Grandma Time

Grandma, Grandpa, and Meemaw came to visit a couple of weeks ago. We didn't get many pictures at all, but I did get these of Jack and Grandma watching Sesame Street together. Jack had a great time playing and entertaining all of us!

A Baby and the iPad

While we had company in town a couple of weeks ago, I needed to make breakfast and had to find a way to keep Jack busy and entertained. Enter the iPad! I can pull up Sesame Street episodes, and Jack is a happy camper.

He's camped out in the middle of the kitchen floor and happy as can be.

His spot in the middle of the floor was a bit in the way, so I moved him to his own private viewing area. Worked like a charm! Looks like he's pondering something here...

Jack's School Christmas Party

Jack had his school Christmas party on Friday, and I was able to go for the fun! They had a yummy snack and some playtime, and Jack was a happy boy.

Relaxing and snacking on his cookie...

Mmmm! That's good!

Cowboy Jack took a ride on the rocking horse and loved it!

Now it's time for a spin in the fire truck with his friend, Asher.

Time to go home! Here he is giving his afternoon teacher, Ms. Emily a hug.

And a hug for his teacher, Ms. Amy!

Do You Want a Bite, Ellie?

Lazy Sunday Morning

We had a very lazy weekend at home a couple of weeks ago. It was cold and rainy, so we spent our time inside playing with lots of toys. Jack got this toy last year at Christmas, and he was having so much fun with it!

Christmas Has Arrived!

After our fun Thanksgiving, we spent the weekend getting ready for Christmas...

First stop was Lowes for a tree- this boy is ready!

We found it!

Some little elves decorated our tree after Jack went to bed on Saturday. We took a few minutes to try and get some cute pictures of our sweet boy by the tree. The next three pics crack us up and the set was runner up for our Christmas card pictures...

"Wow! Do you guys see this ball?"

"This one right here."

Jack loves our tree. Everyday when we get home from school he walks in the house, says "tree" and runs over and waits for me to turn the lights on. It is a very Merry Christmas already at the Ellisons!
