Boston Day 2

We had a fun and busy second day in Boston. It was warm and sunny- our only sunny day in Boston. The rest of our time there was rainy and/or cloudy. We were busy from 8:30am - 11:00pm.

We started our day with the Boston Duck Tour.  We had an 80 minute tour around the city that showed us sights on land and also drove us into the Charles River.

The river was Jack's favorite part.

They even let Captain Jack drive the boat!

No Duck Tour is complete without duck lips that quack!

We spent some time walking around and found some old, beautiful churches.

After lunch we went back to the Public Gardens.  Of course Jack saw the ice cream truck and we had to get some.  :)

He was so excited to go on the swan boats!

Off to Make Way for Ducklings!

Jack found the duckling he was sure was named Jack.

Jack's first carousel ride!

After lunch we walked the first half of the Freedom Trail.  This is how Jack spent his time.

On our way to Fenway to watch the Red Sox play...

Jack's first subway ride.

Ice cream in a mini baseball helmet makes this guy happy!

Boston Day 1

We left last Tuesday on our 2 week New England adventure. We flew into Boston and spent 3 days in the city. Here are some pictures from our first day.

Our flight left at 6:20am.  Jack did great on his first airplane ride!  He sat between Mark and me and was giggling as the plane took off.

Jack's first taxi ride on the way to the hotel.

While we waited to check in to our hotel, we did a little exploring on our way to lunch.

You can't go to Boston and not eat at Cheers.

While we were at lunch, it started to rain, so we headed back to the hotel for naps.  When Jack woke up, jumping on the bed was the perfect activity for him.

Daddy and Mark check out the view from our balcony.

The rain cleared up (for just about an hour!) so we walked a block from our hotel to the Public Gardens.

Soon after we got to the Public Gardens, it started to pour.  We ducked into Legal's Seafood for dinner. The rain was done by then so we walked down to Charles St for some ice cream.

On our way back, we weaved in and out of some streets.   We found this beautiful church and some old streets complete with brownstones, cobblestone streets, and gas lamps.  It was a great first day!

Jack is 3!

I can't believe our little guy is already three years old! Here are some pictures from his actual birthday. Mark and I both picked him up early from school and had present waiting for him when we got home.

"This is what I wanted!  A Mickey and Minnie!"

Sweet three year old boy.
