Ellison Family Fun!

On December 26, the San Angelo and Houston Ellisons invaded Dallas! They were all here from Monday to Friday, and we fit in a lot of fun things. It doesn't look like we did much, but with all that was going on, I didn't remember to pull the camera out very often. We had walks to the park, lunch and shopping for the girls, a trip to REI for the boys, kayaking at White Rock, and tons of great food! Here are a few highlights...

Each morning started in the living room on the air mattress with Grandma Linda and Grandpa Roger.

Jack got a new book...

And some new slippers that look like duck feet, among other things.

The three cousins had a great time playing together!

The weather was BEAUTIFUL all week, so the kiddos had fun going to the park, riding in the cozy coupe and wagon, playing on the slide and in the sandbox.

A Trip to Santa's Workshop

I'm working backwards, but we took a trip to see Santa the week before Christmas. We waited a LONG time in line, but Jack had fun looking around and playing with Makenna.

Jack got a sword, and it was a big hit!

While we waited in one more little line to see Santa, Jack decided to just have a seat and read a little in the brochure they gave us- ha!

Gaga and her babies- they have changed SO much over the last year and a half!

We stood inside a little dome with fake snow that fell, and the kiddos had fun playing in it.

A Wonderful Christmas Morning!

We had a great Christmas morning. Mamaw and Page came down, and Mark made breakfast for all of us, and then Jack got to see what Santa brought for him!

Santa made a stop at our house sometime during the night!

He left Jack's stocking stuffed and on the chair.

The first gift we opened was from Mamaw and Page. It was a little hand help piano that he loves!

Santa brought some puzzles for Jack...

Santa left some bubbles in Jack's stocking, and he had the best time playing with them!

Jack also spent some time riding around in the car Makenna gave him. Down the hall he goes!

Doesn't everyone drive their car into the bathroom?

Christmas Eve Fun

We had a nice Christmas Eve at home this year. The three of us played all day, ate a nice dinner, and then it was time to put on Christmas PJs and get ready to sleep so Santa could come visit! We opened just a couple of gifts on Christmas Eve, and it took a few minutes to get Jack to sit still long enough to open...

First he wanted to check out all the ornaments on the tree...

Then he pulled the TV remote out and tried to convince me we should watch some Elmo...

And then he took a few minutes to shoot some baskets!

We got settled by the tree, and Jack opened his gift from Papaw and Marcie. He got two new Thomas books, or as he calls them, his choo-choo books. He loves them!

He found their picture on the back of the book and was pretty surprised!

Last thing before bed was to set out milk and cookies for Santa. I just wanted a picture of Jack by the plate, but he had a different idea...

Yum! Hope Santa enjoyed his eaten on cookies and gnawed on carrots for the reindeer!
