Fun in Pittsburgh

Well blog followers, I'm back! Being out of school for the summer means I have no schedule whatsoever, so I've been very lazy about blogging. This is my week to catch up! A couple of weeks ago I posted pictures from the road trip part of our trip to Pittsburgh, and today I'm posting the pictures from the rest of our trip. We got to Pittsburgh on Friday afternoon and went straight to Joe and Carrie's house. They have two boys, Brett and Matt, and their house is where Jack and I stayed, along with the Houston Ellisons. It was a week of fun memories!

The three kiddos were so happy to be out of the car that we spent the first couple of hours outside playing.

Nathan checked out the sandbox right away.

After the kids went to bed, we enjoyed visiting outside in the nice, COOL weather!

Nathan enjoyed sitting in Jack's booster seat.

The two boys sat side by side for most meals.

Jack discovered the spiral staircase and had a good time climbing up.

Peek a boo!

Joe and Carrie have an awesome game room, so the kids enjoyed playing with all the cool toys.

It got a little hot, and this sweet boy can't stay away from the water, so we let him sit at the bottom of the waterfall that was in the backyard.

The next morning started with Jack playing with his blocks. He would pick them up...

And deliver them to Uncle Jason.

At lunch, Jack decided he didn't want me to cut up his banana. He wanted to eat it like a big boy!

Yum!

The afternoon was spent playing in the pool with Emily...

And with Nathan.

Grandpa Roger did his campfire cooking, so we all enjoyed a delicious dinner!

The next day was a nice lazy day, so we headed over to Brian and Virginia's house to play. The boys sat at the bar to enjoy their dinner.

Here's a line up of all the kids. This was one wild bunch, and they had so much fun playing together!

Jack of course has to stay connected, so he spent some time on the lap top. Who needs pants?

On Tuesday, the whole group made the trip into downtown Pittsburgh. Grandpa Roger took Jack to see some sights.

We took a tour of the city on the Ducky Tour Boat. For part of the trip, it travels on the roads, and then it turns into a boat so we could float on the water. Jack thoroughly enjoyed it!

View of the incline that takes you up to Mt Washington.

We had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe.

We decided to ride up the incline. This picture was taken from inside the car that takes us up.

Checking it out...

Checking out the views from the top...

Getting some love from Grandma Linda.

It was a long day, and these boys had finally had enough!

Pretty view from Mt Washington

Our last full day was another relaxing day at Joe and Carrie's house. Jack enjoyed the sandbox!

He also had fun playing with Nathan.

One more time in the waterfall.

On our last morning, we tried to get some pictures of all the kids. We did pretty good trying to capture five lively kids all at one time!

Loaded up and ready for the trip back to Texas! It was a great trip with many memories that we will always remember!
