We left on Friday for our Colorado trip. The first day we drove from Dallas to Dalhart, TX, which took about 8 hours. Jack was a GREAT traveler. He was happy to watch movies, draw on his Magna Doodle, and eat snacks. For about two weeks now, he'll ask if we're excited about Colorado. Here's some highlights from our first day of travel...
I put him in the car, and he said, "Yay! Off we go!"

We stopped in Vernon, TX for lunch and walked around their downtown square for a bit before we ate.
After another few hours, we made a stop in Dumas, TX. It was Jack's first Braums visit, and he loved his orange ice cream (sherbet).
We made it to Dalhart! Jack enjoyed riding on the luggage cart.
Our hotel had two horse statues outside, and Jack wanted to say hello and give them hugs.
Now time for a little dancing before we got back in the car to go eat dinner.
After dinner, we found a great park and let Jack run around for about 45 minutes. He LOVED it!

After the park, we headed back to the hotel to swim and play for a bit. Then it was time for bed so we could get up early for another day of travel. Day 1 was a success!
